Meadow had 4 students (Kendall Weaver, Adam Miller, Ethan Wheeler, and Mckenzi Hudson) make it to the individual round. These 4 students were chosen on the basis of their scores from two other rounds. Only the top 20 scorers were able to compete in the final round,so out of about 120 students from 12 middle schools. 20 percent of the top 20 students were from our little school:)There were more participants in the final round from Meadow than any other single school.
All of our students performed very well, especially Ethan Wheeler who was awarded the silver medal for second place in the last round. Although we did not bring home a team medal THIS YEAR....We were very well represented by these students who also displayed great sportsmanship that was seen by all. Our students showed great leadership. On one occasion, Ethan initiatited a hand shake to his competitor after one round of competition, and our students cheered each other on throughout the day. We are very proud of them!
